Abstract

The article examines the relationship between architecture and time. The author explores the phenomenon of time in the context of the architectural process and aesthetic perception. He notes that architecture, as an art, is inevitably connected with time and space. The author identifies time as a universal form of being of matter, which determines the duration of existence and the sequence of changes in material systems. At the same time, he emphasizes that each particular form of matter is limited. Smirnov connects architecture with music and other arts, which, as is known, imply a sequence in time. However, he doubts that architecture is completely devoid of this phenomenon. He believes that the architectural process and the embodiment of the idea in space are also related to the process of aesthetic perception that takes place in time. Thus, the article offers a new look at the relationship between architecture and time, arguing that architecture cannot be completely separated from the processes occurring in time. She invites readers to reflect on the influence of time on architectural creativity and its perception.
